Introduction

US Home Insights (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website and platform at ushomeinsights.com. We provide on-demand property data reports, comparative market analysis (CMA), home valuation estimates, and real estate market intelligence for residential properties across the United States.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website, create an account, or purchase a report (collectively, the “Service”). It also describes your rights and choices with respect to that information.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Service.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you register for an account, purchase a report, or contact support:

  • Account information: your name and email address when you register via email/password or Google sign-in.
  • Payment information: billing details (such as card number, expiration date, and billing address) entered at checkout. This information is transmitted directly to and processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details on our servers.
  • Communications: messages or inquiries you send to our support team, including email content and attachments.

Information Collected Automatically

When you access the Service, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies:

  • Device and connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, reports purchased, time spent on pages, click patterns, and search queries entered on the Service.
  • Cookies and local storage: session identifiers, authentication tokens, and user preference settings. See Section 4 for details.

Information from Third Parties

If you choose to sign in using a third-party provider such as Google, we receive basic profile information from that provider — typically your name, email address, and profile photo — in accordance with the permissions you grant. We do not receive your password from any third-party authentication provider.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service: creating and managing your account, processing report purchases, and delivering purchased reports to you.
  • Processing payments: facilitating secure transactions through Stripe and maintaining records of your purchase history.
  • Improving the Service: analyzing usage patterns and feedback to enhance features, fix bugs, and develop new offerings.
  • Communicating with you: sending transactional emails (order confirmations, report delivery, password resets), responding to support requests, and — with your consent — sending promotional updates. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
  • Security and fraud prevention: detecting and preventing unauthorized access, fraudulent transactions, abuse, and other harmful activity.
  • Legal compliance: fulfilling obligations under applicable laws, responding to lawful requests from authorities, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
4

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Service and understand how users interact with it. The types of cookies we use include:

  • Authentication cookies: session tokens issued by Firebase Authentication that keep you signed in during and between visits. These are essential to the operation of the Service.
  • Preference cookies: small data files that remember your settings (such as display preferences) so you don't have to reconfigure them each visit.
  • Analytics cookies: placed by tools such as Google Analytics to help us understand aggregate usage trends, traffic sources, and feature engagement. This data is used in anonymized or aggregated form.

Your cookie choices: You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when cookies are being set. However, if you disable authentication cookies, you will not be able to sign in or access purchased reports. Most browsers provide instructions for managing cookies in their help documentation.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Stripe (payment processing): your payment card details and billing information are transmitted to Stripe to complete transactions. Stripe's use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase / Google (authentication & infrastructure): we use Firebase Authentication for account management and Firebase / Google Cloud for hosting and backend infrastructure. Google's handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Analytics providers: aggregated and anonymized usage data may be shared with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) to help us understand how the Service is used. We do not share data that directly identifies you with analytics providers.
  • Legal obligations: we may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of US Home Insights, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6

Data Security

We implement and maintain reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS for all communications between your browser and our servers.
  • Secure infrastructure provided by Firebase and Google Cloud, which includes data encryption at rest.
  • Payment data handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor, so full card details never pass through our systems.
  • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data to those with a legitimate business need.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk.

7

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data (name, email, purchase history) is retained for the lifetime of your account. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize this data within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days.
  • Transaction records may be retained longer as required by tax, accounting, or other legal obligations (typically 7 years).
  • Usage and analytics data is typically retained in aggregated or anonymized form and may be kept indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
  • Support communications are retained for a reasonable period to resolve disputes and improve support quality.

To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, please contact us at support@ushomeinsights.com.

8

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you reside, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor the following requests from all users:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information. You can update most account details directly in your account settings.
  • Deletion: request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal retention obligations).
  • Opt-out of marketing emails: you can unsubscribe from promotional emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly. You will continue to receive transactional emails necessary for the operation of your account.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to opt out of the “sale” of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights. To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@ushomeinsights.com.

To exercise any of the rights above, please submit a request to support@ushomeinsights.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

9

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@ushomeinsights.com and we will take prompt steps to delete such information from our systems.

11

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

For material changes, we will provide more prominent notice, such as an email notification to your registered address or a banner on the Service, prior to the change taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
